Digital X-Rays

In the past, dentists relied on X-rays to see what the naked eye could not. However, these images were cumbersome to deal with; they had to be slowly developed in a darkroom with the help of hazardous chemicals, they required storage space, and worst of all, they resulted in radiation exposure to the patient.

Today, digital X-rays have provided an easy solution to all of these issues and more! When you come in for your initial check-up, we’ll use this revolutionary technique to create a detailed image of your internal oral structure that will be immediately viewable on a chairside monitor. We can even rotate, magnifiy, and color-code it for your convenience! Better yet, you’ll experience 90% less radiation than you would with traditional methods.

Intraoral Cameras

Forget the days of having no idea what was going on in your mouth during dental appointments; our intraoral camera can give you a front-row seat! We’ll simply insert a pen-sized, camera-tipped wand into your mouth, which takes a video of the inside of your mouth and transmits it to a nearby computer and/or TV screen! This way, it’s much easier for Dr. Smith to point out potential problems or areas that have been damaged and explain the scope of your dental work. 

Soft Tissue Laser

For patients who are suffering from gum disease, it’s easy to shy away from the thought of treatment; after all, scalpel incisions and sutures can be painful and unpleasant. Thankfully, our soft tissue laser can provide the light, effective touch you need to enjoy a healthy smile at last! This tool provides us with much more precise and conservative control over your treatment. It also sterilizes the area and minimizes bleeding, meaning that you won’t require any sutures in order to heal!
